Beauty

Image
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ♥ There is nothing as gorgeous as nature, flowers blooming. How marvelous it is to behold such a wonder of seeing a flower bloom and nature grows. I took this photo of this beautiful orange flower in the garden.

Panthera Leo - Lion (One Eye Sleeping Lion)

Image
The one eye sleeping lion This is a lovely picture I took of a male lion at the Sea view Lion Park. He is such a beauty and couldn't be bothered less with me hanging around him as he is happy and fed. Panthera Leo - Lion Wild species og the cat family are found all over the world, except for in Antarctica and Australia. They are carnivores (meat eaters) and all hunt by stalking their prey and then pouncing. There are 37 species of wild cat. The best known big cat, often called 'the king of the jungle'. At one time lions roamed all over Europe, Africa and Asia, but now they are found only in parts of Africa and a small area of India. Lions usually hunt in a group and although it is usually the female that kills the prey, it is the male, the head of the pride (group), that gets to eat first. They usually lives in groups of three males and several females and cubs. *Lions sometimes climb into trees to stop flies biting them. *The ancient Egyptian pharaoh Amenhotep 111

Misery - Stephen King

Great photo of Misery Just want to blog this picture of Misery as well ;) He was a writer. She was his Number One Fan. She'd pulled him out of the car-wreck, brought him home, splinted and set his mangled legs. All he had to do in return was to write: a very special book, just fot her, all about her favourite character from his novels. One he'd killed off and now had to bring back to life. Because if he didn't,  if he was Bad and didn't do what Nurse told him, she would be cross - very cross - and do things that would make him scream and scream...

IT - Stephen King

What a scare. Especially if you are a Coulrophobia. It made me fear clowns till this day. It truly brings all your worst nightmares as a kid to life.  This book is a terrific read and extremely good written.  It will give you nightmares and make you sleep with the lights on. The King of Horror did a good job with IT. Hard to put down, so good thing it is an extremely thick book. It is the children who see - and feel - what makes the small town of Derry so horribly different. In the storm drains, in the sewers, IT lurks, taking on the shape of every nightmare, each one's deepest dread.  Sometimes IT reaches up, seizing, tearing, killing... Time passes and the children grow up, move away and forget. Until they are all called back, oncr more to confront IT as it stirs and coils in the sullen depths of their memories, reaching up again to make their past nightmares a terrible present reality.

The Shining - Stephen King

Image
Would you really want to be snowed in? This book is good once you get into it. It is a slow start but once Danny enters room 217 the supernatural takes over the Overlook Hotel. Once it starts it is like a wildfire sweeping across the hotel. You get to experience the point of view from the whole Torrance family separately. Most definitely a worthwhile read. When his father becomes caretaker of the Overlook Hotel, Danny's visions grow out of control. As winter closes in and blizzards cit them off, the hotel seems to develop a life of its own. It is meant to be empty. So who is the lady in Room 217 and who are the masked guests going up and down in the elevator? And why do the hedges shaped like animals seem so alive?  Somewhere, somehow, there is an evil force in the hotel - and that too is beginning to shine...

Doctor Sleep - Stephen King

This is really a terrific sequel to The Shining. What happened to the kid from ' The Shining '? This book takes you from the beginning after the horrific Overlook Hotel experience up intill where he is becoming an older gentleman and everything in between. A must read for ever Stephen King fan. Best part about this books is that you don't need to read The Shining firts, but it makes the book so much better if you do. Doctor Sleep goes back to everything and even shows you what happened with the Overlook Hotel. Hard to put down once you start, each page making you hungry for more. An easy read and well written. On highways across America, a tribe of people called The True Knot travel in search of sustenance. They look harmless - mostly old, lots of polyester, and devoted to their comfortable Recreational Vehicles. But they live off the 'steam' that children wiyh the 'shining' produce.  Following a childhood haunted by the time he spent with his pare

This is a great book. How far one fan will go... His number one fan turned murderous... This book delf in the mind of an obsessive fan that will stop at nothing to get what she wants, and an injured author trying to save his own life. How far is one fan really willing to go? Definitely worth a read. He was a writer. She was his Number One Fan. She'd pulled him out of the car-wreck, brought him home, splinted and set his mangled legs. All he had to do in return was to write: a very special book, just fot her, all about her favourite character from his novels.
