Thrilling and splendid.
You will finish this novel in one sitting, I did. It is so captivating that you just can't put it down. We all saw the movie and it was great yet scary but this novel it above and beyond, it really plays with your mind. It makes you think that maybe just maybe she does just have a mental illness. It shows how easy a possession can be misdiagnosed as a mental illness and visa versa.
This is really one of those novels that stays with you.
Very unnerving.

            Thousands of years in the future, humanity has finally eradicated war, poverty, and all forms of human suffering. With no problems or unanswered questions remaining in the world, everyone is bored out of their minds, that is until the sun starts putting on a light show, the first warning sign it's getting ready to supernova!

           Our heroes from the year 11,984 are your typical family of two mothers, three fathers, a couple of kids, and plenty of robots. Fun-loving Troll, so called because of her giant troll doll hair(They don't have names in the future, or wear clothes) is the world's leading hydrologist/interior decorator, whose plans to retire quickly change when faced with the drought to end all droughts. Bulb, bald head glowing like a lightbulb, is the cranky Minister of Rational Thought. His faith in science is tested by the total collapse of society. Last but not least is Litterbot, the clumsy garbagebot who gets no respect, and whose highest priority--to clean--is frustrated by a world without messes. 

           As the family works on building an escape spaceship, the sun bombards them in changing colors, which unbeknownst to them causes radiation insanity. The sky colors keep growing stronger, and these totally peaceful people are at each other's throats. It gets so bad their bodies mutate (which helps them work faster) and world computer crashes (forcing them to read primitive paper books, and rely more on Litterbot.) Will they launch before getting smashed to pieces?

Who in their right mind doesn't love the witchy Owen sisters with their fun loving aunts? Now the thing is that the movie and book is completely different. So this only ever happened twice so far, where I pick the movie over the book. Okay don't get the wrong the book a pleasant enough read and the story was good BUT the movie, oh the movie was amazing. I honestly don't think the movie would have been such a huge success if they kept to the story in the book. The movie is just so much more fun and family love where the book is a bit dry and just ugh... Not ugh in a total bad way but nothing compares to the movie. So I watched the movie long before I got hold of the book and so when I read the book it was dry and a bit disappointing so I would recommend to FIRST read the book and then go and enjoy the awesome movie. But if it happens that you already saw the movie - still ready the book. Would make you appreciate it more.

NOS4R2 - just a number plate or something much more? This was an amazing story and you can see that talent run in the King family... The story takes place around Christmas. Also about a young girl with a gift that turns into a woman and then a black car and an extremely creepy guy that drives the car. I can't say much more or go into detail as it will give the story away and ruin it. I read this in a few short days and also around Christmas a few years back, you know to get into the Christmas spirit. Seeing this photo and thinking about all the weird and dark twists and turns in this book wants me to read it again, plus it is almost Christmas again. So people that know me can tell you that I love Stephen King and Horror (also coffee) so it just came natural to me to pick up this Joe Hill book and so glad that I did because he clearly got it from his daddy... This was my first Joe Hill book and by far not the last one I will get. I love his writing style and his stories i

THE CABIN IN THE WOODS

  Who doesn't love a good cliché? I know I love them especially when it comes to my horror movies. Don't get me wrong I love horrors, all of them, but their is just something about a jock, slut, scholar, virgin and the fool. So I did also watch the movie of course and loved it and this book is just the novel version of the movie. Maybe a little more detailed and of course you can read what they are thinking unlike with movies. So the book is a bit more. I loved this book, no surprise there... Also I would recommend this book to just about every one I can. This book was also a very fast and easy read. I also loved the setting of the book - woods, lake and a small cabin (reminds me a lot of Evil Dead, the original). Okay so the name pretty much says it all about what this book is. it is about a Cabin in the woods and these five college students go to for the weekend.
